Tips and Recommendations
- MREM’s self-storage units are gated and secured. However, we recommend renters purchase their own insurance for stored items.
- Select a large enough storage space to leave room for a walkway. This makes it easier to reach the items in the back.
- Damp cardboard creates the potential for mildew and insects. If you can’t use plastic bins to store your items, use new cardboard boxes, and consider putting pallets on the floor to improve airflow.
- Stack items evenly. Turn larger furniture items, like sofas, on the side, if possible, to make the most efficient use of your storage space.
